The ‘Studios’ in our company name, Maya Studios, is the key to understanding our culture. Despite following a well articulated, scale-able and rigorous design and delivery process we follow a studio style culture, shunning silos and picking ideas and inspirations and critiques from all and sundry.
Why we do what we do
The unique nature of our work means, our work has a direct effect on the life and livelihood of not just our clients and their business but also the direct and indirect end users. Our work can mean the difference between someone having a good day at work or loosing their job. A bad delivery can lead to a software developer missing her deadline or a marketing team missing their targets, a poorly designed app may lead to a mother missing on applying for that federal grant or a dark pattern confusing a user to spend money without consent or a business suffering cart abandonment in peak season time or a startup inundated by support calls (they are expensive) due to a faulty design.

Our Design Process
Over the years, we have perfected a well thought our and practical design process. Here are the key elements of this process.
Discovery
We immerse ourselves in your business or product domain and conduct a discovery workshop with your team and jointly workup a project plan, success matrix and timelines.
Research & Analysis
We gather data from primary and secondary sources and your own users, customers etc., any assimilate it to come up with solutions that can be implemented through design, business practices and technologies.
Design Phase
We use work from previous phases and convert them into possible solutions in form of reports, content plans, design options, wireframes, etc.
Production
After consultative iterations we product final artifacts according to the type and nature of the project. Example Apps, Websites, Research Reports, Content for media platforms, etc.
Handover & Review
For design and development projects we review the deliveries and handover the project to your in an agreed upon format.
Ongoing Delivery
For strategic project we keep delivering and iterating as the case maybe.
